How to get there?
By plane

It is recommended to rent a car to move easily in that area.
By train
Option 1: Direct trip from Paris station to Brive la Gaillarde: 4:30 hrs. and from there rent a car or book a taxi, 30 km. distance between the station and the wedding venue / hotels.
Option 2: Direct trip from Paris to Sarlat station : 4:40 hrs. + rent a car or book a taxi, 30 km. distance between the station and the wedding venue / hotels.
Option 3: Visiting Bordeaux SNCF or Ouigo direct economic journey from Paris to Bordeaux (2 hrs by train) and in Bordeaux rent a car and enjoy the beautiful road trip to the wedding venue. (2 hrs. By car, 190 km.) Don't hesitate to stop in Saint- Emilion if you are a wine and village lover it is on the road between Bordeaux and Sarlat.

Visit the " Jardins de Markeyssac " at night with candlelight nights - a must, only 1 day per week (check times and dates) incredible! And for the extremes, Via Ferrata by Markeyssac

Visit at least 1 castle ( Castelnaud is the best as there are also some people showing the ancient way of making weapons / ancient war strategies).

RECOMMENDED: Do a day / half day by canoe / kayak : a great route is to leave your car in the town of Cenac and you can kayak the classic “Cenac- Beynac”! You will see from the water some castles and also the town of La Roque Gageac. Take your picnic so you can stop on the pebble beaches!

Try the gastronomic specialties of the region: walnut cake, duck, foie gras, walnut liqueur, cheeses and truffles.

A tour in Mongolfiere (hot air balloon) at sunset!

If you have time and reservations in advance visit the Grottes de Lascaux one of the oldest prehistoric caves in the world (20 min from the Coly, place of the wedding)

Visita al menos 1 castillo (Castelnaud es el mejor ya que también hay algunas personas que muestran la antigua forma de hacer armas / estrategias de guerras antiguas).

RECOMENDABLE: Haz un día/medio día en canoa/kayak: una gran ruta es dejar tu auto en el pueblo de Cenac y puedes hacer en kayak el clásico “Cenac- Beynac”! Verás desde el agua algunos castillos y también el pueblo de La Roque Gageac. ¡Lleva tu picnic para que puedas parar en las playas de piedras!

Prueba las especialidades gastronómicas de la región: tarta de nueces, pato, foie gras, licor de nueces, quesos y trufas.
